If you’re feeling down and out
And filled with much self pity
Just stop and take a look around
The hurting in this city
Some have no place to lay their head
Or many clothes to wear
They huddle close just to keep warm
While passersby all stare
Then there’s the single mom of three
Who struggles every day
She frets and worries about their food
As she picks which bills to pay
See the lonely, older gentleman
With no family to his name
He prays for folks to visit him
Amid his deepening pain
There are families scattered here and there
Who live from day to day
With sorrow in their wounded hearts
To them, there seems no way
So as we gather ‘round the tree
With warmth, good food and friends
Remember the Gift the Father gave
That never, ever ends!
The Gift of Jesus Christ our Lord
Our Savior and our King
The One who gives eternal life
The reason why we sing!
So stretch your hands to heaven
In this season full and bright
And bow your heads in thankfulness
For that blessed Christmas night
It’s not the toys, the gifts, the “stuff”
To which we dearly cling
But unto Christ, our Blessed Hope
Our Righteous, Loving King!
So take your eyes off of this world
And what it claims to give
And gaze upon the precious Lord
Surrender now, and live!
And as your focus redirects
Unto the One above
You’ll then reach out to those you see
With heartfelt Christian love!

Hey, Linda
I've emailed you quite a few times over the past 6 months to see how all are doing and haven't heard from you. Thought maybe if I tried this it might get through to you. Am I using the wrong email?
